The Lifetime Achievement Community Service Award recognizes an individual who consistently places service above self.  This individual's generous time commitments and extraordinary support to numerous organizations are an inspiration to all.

The Outstanding Leadership Award recognizes an individual who provides noteworthy and extraordinary leadership of citizens in communities in New London County. Honoring outstanding leadership delivers a message to our youth that character counts. The lives of outstanding leaders put into place guideposts that serve to inspire our youth to lead, to accept responsibility, and to care about principles and causes beyond self-interest.

The Community Service Award recognizes outstanding organizations that play a vital role in the development and growth of our community. The spirit of Eastern Connecticut is greatly enriched by the continual support of our business community. The Connecticut Rivers Council is pleased to recognize those organizations that make a significant contribution to the quality of life in our community.

The Outstanding Community Organization Award recognizes the commitment of local organizations to better the community around them. Scouting has long instilled in youth the value of services to one's community, and through this award we seek to honor such exemplary service in Southeastern Connecticut.

The Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Award is presented by local Scouters to teachers, educational support staff, and school administrators who stand out from their professional peers in instilling Scouting values in their students. Dr. Fretwell championed Scouting programs as extracurricular learning opportunities that promoted positive values and community service. Scouting benefits from easy access to schools for recruiting and from opportunities to serve schools.

On behalf of the 2500+ youth in Southeastern Connecticut who will directly benefit from your generous support, we would like to pass along our sincerest thanks!
